Biography
Born and raised in Albuquerque, Dr. Joseph Snyder has been providing exceptional dentistry in Alamogordo since 1996. A 1980 dental graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Snyder received his undergraduate education at the University of New Mexico, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1977.
In order to offer the highest quality dental care, Dr. Snyder continues his education and has achieved Mastership status in the AGD, which requires over 1000 hours of continuing education classes and passing a rigorous comprehensive exam.
Dr. Snyder served for 16 years in the United States Air Force. Prior to establishing his practice in Alamogordo, he served at Holloman Air Force Base for two years. While on active duty, Dr. Snyder completed a two-year general dentistry residency. He is currently a member in good standing of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
As a dentist, Dr. Snyder aims to help his patients maintain optimal oral health. In addition, he provides compassionate, comprehensive care that you can trust. With his experience, talent, and care, he can help you achieve the radiant, healthy smile that you have always wanted.
Dr. Snyder has been married to the love of his life, Laura, for 37 years. They have one son, Jonathan, and one daughter, Julia. She is a recent graduate of Abilene Christian University and is currently employed as a Medical Assistant in Abilene. Jonathan is a graduate student at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he is currently working on his Doctorate degree. When he’s not working on your smile, you can find Dr. Snyder playing the banjo in a bluegrass band, Simple Gifts.
